These Brookfield homeowners wanted to transform their basement to beautiful. After researching many companies, they decided to go with the best and our team at Total Basement Finishing, a division of CT Basement Systems, was happy to help! The first step in this transformation was to upgrade the floors. As you can see, before, the floors were concrete which made it very unwelcoming and cold. The homeowners made an upgrade to beautiful ThermalDry Elite Dark Walnut flooring. This luxurious wood plank looks and feels, like a wood material, but it is a vinyl material that’s water resistant. The results of this product are a warmer basement that will not grow mold, rot or buckle. This is exactly what the homeowners wanted and were pleased with the results. They even added easy wrap column sleeves that make the supporting beams of the basement look beautiful. The walls are last to be finished but the transformation of the floors is quite the before and after! 

A homeowner in Brookfield, CT was getting water in their basement, causing a lot of damage. Once an appointment was made, it would be time for one of our Sales Consultants Jimmy Stablein to go out to the home to assess the issues and propose a long-term solution. 

The next step would be for one of our Foremen, Sid Avis, and his team to install this project. They installed a two-stage waterproofing system, which includes our DryTrak drain system and our WaterGuard drain system as well. This will collect any water coming in from the floors and walls and then direct it into a sump pump. The specific sump pump proposed for this job was a SuperSump Plus. This will take that collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance through a discharge line. Then our crew installed a Sedona dehumidifier to protect the basement from moisture and mold growth. Now with our systems, this basement will stay dry and no longer have water damage.

One of our Foreman Marcial Lopez and his crew took on this project. They installed our TripleSafe system which will properly collect and pump out any water at a safe distance from the home. We also installed our WaterGuard and TrenchDrain systems, completely waterproofing the space. Our CleanSpace walls were also put in to protect the walls from water vapor. Now this homeowner can live worry-free knowing their basement is completely dry!

To complete the waterproofing system, the crew installed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to ensure that the basement is moisture and mold-free.
