This basement in Derby, CT was crowded, uninviting, and not a space the family felt comfortable using. They wanted to turn it into a space they could use year round, so they called Connecticut Basement Systems to get the job done.
Micah Smith came out to the home, and quickly surveyed what could be done to this space. He brought out Sheldon Lennon and his team, and they quickly got to work! They first air sealed the entire home with rim joist insulation. This insulation is important to keeping the basement warm, and it is an affordable option that is high coverage. They then installed ThermalDry floor tiles in sandstone gray. These tiles are a great option because they can snap together over concrete, and create a great thermal barrier, so your feet are never cold! We also installed Everlast wall panels around the entire basement. These panels are made of inorganic materials and great for the basement environment!
This basement completely transformed into a space this family can now use for whatever they please! Call us TODAY for your free basement finishing estimate!
A homeowner in Middlebury was getting water seepage in their basement. They reached out to us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a solution. We sent out one of our Sales Consultants, Mick Foster, to the home to assess the problems and propose a full perimeter waterproofing solution.
Soon after it would be time for one of our Foremen, Al Guglielmoni, and his team to install this entire project. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement to capture water coming in from the walls or floors. Then they installed our TripleSafe sump pump to take that collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth.
Our systems will keep this basement dry and give the homeowner peace of mind!

When a basement window has an insufficient window well, it can cause a lot of obstruction with dirt and debris. This obstruction can deter light from entering the basement and it is unappealing to look at from the outside. The homeowner wanted to install a window well that would protect their brand new windows. Connecticut Basement Systems was more than happy to provide a solution.
