When Julie and Mike M were concerned when they started smelling mold as they turned on their air-conditioner, they knew they needed to do something about it.  So they called Woods Basement Systems.  System Design Specialist Brenton K was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Joshua B installed CleanSpace in Julie and Mike’s crawlspace.  The CleanSpace system, shown above, is a heavy duty plastic liner that will line the floors and walls of your crawl space, making sure that it stays dry and mold free.  He also installed CleanSpace Drainage Matting, which will allow water to drain out if the crawlspace does flood.  This will make your crawlspace accessible, and keep the air in your home clean.

Jim and Janet of Mt. Vernon, Illinois had a crawl space that needed repaired, she they called Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Daniel L. recommended installing a SmartSump pump and CleanSpace.

Foreman, Juan H. installed the products. The SmartSump pump is specifically designed for crawl spaces to protect against flooding and leaks. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that works to collect water that seeps through basement walls and guides it the sump pump to be removed from the home.

Systems design specialist, Brandon B. found a solution and recommended installing a Twin Pack sump pump, a CleanSpace encapsulation system, and a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier. 

Foreman, Joshua B. installed the products. The Twin Pack sump pump includes two stainless steel sump pumps that work to protect your home from leaks and floods. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier made of inorganic materials, so it is not susceptible to mold growth. It is used to fully seal off a crawl space from dirt, critters, and moisture. The Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier is guaranteed to keep your crawl space dry by making sure moisture stays out, and overall creating better air quality for the above levels in your home. 

Now Curt A. has a dry, healthy crawl space. 

This crawlspace beneath a home in Mount Vernon, IL. was protected against water damage with a light waterproof layer. This liner would block water and water vapor from risingin out of the dirt floor and into the crawlspace, where it could cause damage to the wooden structure above.

However, this liner was little more than plastice sheets. This liner was not durable and could tear easily. It also wasn't mold resistant, allowing mold to grow across its surface and cause damage to the liner and possibly spread to anything the liner touched.
