The temperature in this O'Fallon crawl space was 71 degrees, but the humidity level was over 80. This high level of humidity caused mold to grow rapidly, and wood rot was affecting the floor joist and sub-flooring. Another major problem was that the crawl space air was getting up into the house. Unfortunately, if it's in your crawl space, it's in your home. We installed a complete encapsulation system of CleanSpace® and SaniDry® dehumidifier to solve these problems. The upstairs air quality was greatly improved and the energy bills dropped too!
A crawlspace in Walshville, Illinois, needed to be sealed. It was leaking humid air up into the home, while also letting heat escape as well. Woods came in and installed the CleanSpace System to encapsulate the area. This system consists of a highly durable sheet of material that is placed directly on the walls and ground of the crawlspace. Not only does this help with the humidity, but this seal will also protect the crawlspace from rot, insects, and the outside elements. CleanSpace also brightens up the crawlspace, reflecting any available light back inward. With this installation in place, this crawlspace will be sealed for decades into the future.
Kurt B. of Auburn, Illinois was troubled by his musty crawlspace. Mold began to over take the crawlspace. A Woods Basement Systems system design specialist designed a solution.
CleanSpace was installed. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that keeps water from entering the crawlspace. Because it is inorganic, it does not support mold growth.
Kurt is relieved to have a dry, mold free crawlspace.
In Virden, IL, Samuel L. wanted to make sure his home would be safe from mold and rotting wood. Knowing this could only be done by sealing the space, he called Woods Basement Systems.
Woods installed CleanSpace and a drainage matting to drain away and keep out unwanted moisture. This would allow the area to be dry and not allow standing water. The ensure the moisture was controlled, Woods installed a sump pump and a SaniDry.
Sam L. of Vidren, IL had an improper vapor barrier for his crawlspace. He wanted to make sure no damaging moisture would get into the crawlspace and damage his home. Woods Basement Systems had the perfect product to help Sam.
Woods installed CleanSpace lining to seal off the space. CleanSpace is very durable and does not rip easily. This lining is attached to the walls of the crawlspace to separate the ground from the house, creating an effective vapor barrier.
