In Evansville, IN, Healthy Spaces received a phone call about a homeowner's wish to replace their sump pump with one of ours. The sump pump did not have an airtight lid, which was exposing water vapor to the basement. When water vapor is exposed and humidity is present, then mold can form. The homeowner wanted to prevent the growth of mold before it started. 

The sump pump was replaced with the SuperSump pump. The SuperSump pump has a quiet iron pump, cools well, and lasts longer. The SuperSump has an airtight lid that prevents water from evaporating into the basement and stops objects from falling and clogging the pump. The pump will bring the water out and away from the home. The homeowners were no longer feeling distressed about their sump pump. That's why we are here!

A homeowner in Utica, KY scheduled an inspection with Healthy Spaces because his cellar and basement had rainwater leaking in. The homeowner was interested in waterproofing his basement to prevent further damage and lower his energy bills. The homeowner was also interested in replacing the old sump pump that was failing. Because the sump pump did not have an airtight lid, the basement was exposed to water vapor.

CleanSpace was secured onto the walls of the basement.  Any water vapor that would enter the basement would be directed towards the WaterGuard. WaterGuard has a built-in, 3/8-inch gap between the floor and the wall. Water from the WaterGuard flows toward the SuperSump pump. Once the basement waterproofing system was completed, the homeowner was pleased with the transformation!

There was mold present on the bottom halves of the walls, where water was likely coming in through. The basement needed a waterproofing system to fix the issue for good. 

CleanSpace was installed on the walls to protect against water vapor. The water vapor will be trapped by the CleanSpace, enabling it to move down to the WaterGuard system.  The WaterGuard receives the water and then carries it toward the sump pump.
