A church in Mount Vernon, IN, needed a sump pump replacement. Someone from the church had reached out to us in hopes of purchasing a Zoeller pump that would last much longer compared to the plastic one that was currently in use. During heavy rainfall, the old sump pump that was in use, could not keep up with the amount of water coming in, causing small puddles to form on the ground of the basement. The pump needs to be replaced with a reliable cast-iron pump in case of a plumbing leak. A pump transformation was underway!
The UltraSump pump was the best option to be installed in the basement. The UltraSump is made up of the sump liner on the outside, that has holes all over to accept water directly from the ground. An airtight sump lid prevents water from evaporating into your basement, to stop stuff from falling and clogging the pump. A floor drain in the sump lid is included if the basement were to ever flood, there would be a hole for the water to escape to. A pump stand is placed inside the sump liner to elevate the pump above the bottom of the sump liner, allowing sediment, mud, and debris, to settle to the bottom without clogging or otherwise affecting the pump. In case the sump pump would ever fails or if the basement was in danger of flooding, a pump alarm is fastened on top of the airtight lid. A battery-powered alarm that sounds automatically when the water reaches a level above the point where the pump should normally turn on is essential. With the new sump pump being installed, the church will now be dry, even on rainy days.
In Lewisport, KY, a family wanted to transform their dark and cold basement into a welcoming space to have hangouts in the future. The basement had water leakage that needed to be repaired to further furnish the space. The family was ready to keep the ball rolling and have the basement of their dreams!
Once the waterproofing was finished in the basement, such as the WaterGuard system and a sump pump being put in, then it was time to take care of the walls. Basement to Beautiful panels was installed across the walls to insulate the area. It was waterproofed with integrated electrical chases and "warm" studs. Wood studs can rot and grow mold where there is no wood in the Basement to Beautiful panel. The basement to Beautiful panels are not a finished wall and need to have a finished system installed over them. The family was ecstatic to see the transformation and the potentiality of ideas for the space.
If you come across signs of water damage in your basement, it is ideal to repair it as soon as possible before the problem worsens, causing you more money in the long run. A homeowner in Mc Leansboro, IL had water damage in his basement. The humid atmosphere was causing the homeowner to spend more money on energy costs since he needed the basement and home to be a comfortable temperature to live in. The homeowner was ready to cut out the costs of energy being used while creating a relaxing place to be in.
A system needed to be set in place to dispose of any water that entered the basement through the walls. The solution for water drainage was the WaterGuard and sump pump system. One key to a waterproofing system is that it must have an opening to drain water from the walls, such as the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard will carry any water entering from the walls, to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump sports three sump pumps in one sump liner. Once an efficient waterproofing system was made for the basement of this home, the homeowner was thrilled to know that from now on, he will be saving more money on energy costs. Goodbye humidity!
Homeowners in Huntingburg, IN, had a recurring problem for the past few years. Each time it rained, water would leak into the basement, causing damp floors and a humid climate. Over time, the humidity had formed mold that was starting to form on the walls and corners of the basement. The homeowners contacted us for a FREE inspection to see what could be done. The basement needed a little TLC, and that's exactly what Healthy Spaces could handle.
The basement needed a proper drainage system to empty the water out and away from the home. The WaterGuard is a French drain-style wall gap that will catch water from the wall, as well as dirt and debris from the basement floor. Water is then directed to the UltraSump pump that was installed to retain a dry space. Water in the sump pump is disposed of through the IceGuard system located outside. It empties water out and away from the home. Once the waterproofing system was completed, the homeowners were impressed with how a simple system such as theirs, could keep their home dry for years to come!
In Washington, IN, a homeowner needed a new sump pump. Their old pump was plastic and did not have a lid. The lidless sump pump had caused the basement to be exposed to moisture whenever the sump collected water inside. The homeowner needed an upgrade to their sump system for it to benefit the home's health.
The UltraSump pump has a cast iron pump called the Zoeller pump. Cast iron pumps are quiet, cool well, and last longer compared to plastic pumps. At Healthy Spaces, our sump pumps have an airtight lid that will prevent water from evaporating into your basement, stop stuff from clogging the pump, and quiet the system. A pump stand will elevate the pump above the bottom of the sump liner to allow sediment, mud, debris, or gravel to settle to the bottom without affecting the pump. If the pump were to ever fail, a pump alarm is located on top of the lid to alert the homeowner. Once the project was finished, the new sump pump looked great in its new place!
