Tearing down drywall and pulling up carpet to deal with a water problem in your finished basement is one of the last things you want to do as a homeowner, but when water finds its way in, you want to feel confident that it will get fixed right the first time. For this homeowner in Forest City, Iowa, we were able to waterproof his basement with our drainage system and vapor barrier so that he could reclaim his personal exercise space and restore his peace of mind.
The PowerBrace system, pictured in the images above, permanently stabilizes your foundation. The steel beams are custom fit to your basement walls and secured tight to tighten the walls overtime and reverse wall failure.
A crumbling foundation wall is no joke, and we had the perfect solution for this customer. Our EverBrace™ Wall Restoration System permanently stabilizes and protects against future damage. With zinc-coated steel for corrosion resistance, it offers minimal disruption and quick installation. Additionally, it's easily concealed by drywall and integrates with basement waterproofing systems. It also works with various foundation wall types!
This homeowner had a problem with water in their basement that just wouldn't go away. They wanted to find a solution they could trust so they could enjoy their retirement without worrying. To help them out, we used two products called PowerBrace and WaterGuard. PowerBrace is a system that makes the foundation walls of the house stronger. It uses special steel beams that are secured tightly to the walls with brackets. The beams are made of zinc-plated steel, which means they won't rust. They are also attached to the floor and floor joists, so they stay in place. The best part is that the PowerBrace system can be adjusted over time to keep the walls from getting worse without having to dig or drill into them.
To take care of the water problem, we installed WaterGuard. This is a system that goes inside the basement. It collects any water that comes through the walls or floor and directs it into a pipe that leads to a pump. The pump then gets rid of the water, so it doesn't cause any damage or make the basement wet.
By using both PowerBrace and WaterGuard, we were able to give the homeowner a complete solution that will last a long time. Now they can enjoy a basement that's dry and stable without any worries.
There are a lot of rules and regulations to abide by if you're looking to rent your home, but one thing you should be sure of, is that your foundation wont collapse out from under your renters!
These previously installed wood beams just weren't cutting it, so we installed PowerBraces to ensure the property could remain standing, and most importantly, go up for rent!
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
