A homeowner in Morehead, Kentucky was having water problems in the crawl space area of the home. The insulation was beginning to fall down and the homeowner was concerned about eventually having foundation problems due to the water.
This half finished basement had dry wall that became damp due to waterproofing issues. We fixed the problems by installing WaterGuard drainage all along the perimeter of the interior of the basement, under the concrete floors. We then fixed the dry wall by cutting them and installing our cut walls, which are made of a non-organic material, which will never grow mold or hold moisture. We then installed a Super Sump sump pump to attach to the drainage. The sump will discharge the water far away from the foundation of the home. The result is a dry, clean basement.
This home had a crawlspace and a basement area, both of which needed waterproofed. We installed our drainage matting all over the crawl space floor, which led to perforated pipes covered in gravel in the crawl space. We then hooked up the perforated pipes to the WaterGuard drains we installed in the basement. All of the drains are connected to a SmartSump, which discharges outside the home in a safe area.
As a result from all the hydrostatic pressure this basement foundation was receiving, the walls were bowing in and leaking water. In the before picture you can see the chipped paint, cracks, bowing, and the pool of water on the floor. In the after picture you can see PowerBraces holding the bowing walls up, CleanSpace walls covering the once dirty wall, fresh concrete over the hidden WaterGuard drains all around the perimeter of the basement, and a TripleSafe sump pump all the way in the corner.
The existing front porch for this home in Cynthiana was all bent out of shape. Large gaps revealed themselves throughout the driveway and front porch, which is a cause for concern. Large gaps not only look bad, they can decrease the lifetime of your slabs. That's why we leveled these slabs out with our PolyLevel foam, and then sealed them with our sealant. The result was a happy homeowner!
