Basement egress windows can do a lot for your home. The biggest benefit for most homeowners is the ability to provide an emergency exit strategy for people living in the basement. It is required to have an egress window in the basement containing a bedroom. It also boosts the home value in this scenario, as it is also required to have an egress to count a basement bedroom on a home listing. Our basement windows also allow for lots of natural sunlight to reach the basement, which makes a very noticeable difference for darker basements. Note: The dirt placed around the window well in the after picture will settle over time, as the ground takes time to compact the soil naturally.
This basement had one side that was leaking water due to poor downgrading slope near their foundation. Rather than paying a lot of money, time, and space to moving the soil around the foundation, we decided to just waterproof one side of the basement, a rather simple process. With WaterGuard, a TripleSafe, and a discharge line, this home was now waterproof.
This home's pretty side walk and drive way were becoming old and contained large gaps and cracks, something we aimed to fix. We were able to PolyLevel lift specific parts of the concrete to raise all the slabs to be on the same level. We then sealed the gaps with NexusPro sealant. These concrete slabs are repaired and protected now.
This home had some large cracks in its basement, allowing water to seep in. We installed FlexiSpan for the cracks, effectively stopping water from coming by the cracks. However, water was also coming up through the floor. To fix this, we installed WaterGuard and a Super Sump. Lastly, we installed BrightWall paneling, giving the basement a nice finished look. The owner can now finish the basement however they like, without having to worry about water damage.
Before tackling this project in Pendleton, KY, the homeowner faced a daunting challenge – an old waterproofing system that simply couldn’t hold its ground against water intrusion. As shown in the ‘before’ photo, the struggle was real, the results, discouraging. However, turning to us made a world of difference. We introduced a robust trio-system: SuperSump, WaterGuard, and CleanSpace. Now, in the ‘after’ photo, notice the transformation – a dry, secure basement ready to withstand any storm. Delivering not just a solution but peace of mind.
