This customer had a very damp and humid crawlspace that was causing mold to grow and the current insulation to fall down. To start off this project we first removed all the old damp insulation and then treated the mold with our Mold-X2 treatment. Next we installed our SilverGlo insulation wall panels and sprayed our RimTight spray foam insulation. Following our insulation install we put down our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, install a SmartPump with Smart Pipe and then we finish up the install with a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. 

This Elkton MD basement project consisted of 2 SuperSump Pumps an Ultra Sump Battery Back-Up, WaterGuard and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. Now if any water tries to enter the basement during a rainstorm, this basement is fully protected. The Cleanspace will direct any water or moisture from the wall, down to the Waterguard. Once the water hits the Waterguard it will then flow over to the SuperSump to be pumped out and away from the house. In some cases, there could be a strong storm coming through and it knocks out the power, we got them covered on this as well since we installed an Ultra Sump Battery Back-Up. If and when power goes out, the Ultra Sump will kick on and keep the water flowing out of the basement.

The owner of this restaurant in Elkton Md reached out to Basement Systems USA looking for help for his wet basement. For as long as his restaurant has been open, he has been getting water in the basement and since the basement always collected water, he could not utilize this large space for much needed storage.

After sending our inspector Keith Miller out to assess this basement, he came up with the best solution to not only keep it dry during rainy weather, but to also make this large basement, a useable space.

This installation consisted of Waterguard and a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier around the full perimeter of the basement, two Triple Safe Sump Pumps with Ultra Sump Battery Back-ups and a Trench Drain. We also removed and hauled away most of the current concrete floor and poured a new concrete pad in its place.

This customer had an old broken basement window that was currently being covered by a piece of foam. If you don't mind a spike in your energy bill due to cold air leaking in or a wet basement due to water leaking in, then this would not concern you, but to this customer, it was concerning and she was ready to correct it.

We came out and installed a brand new EverLast Basement Window and a Sunhouse Enclosure which includes a window well and cover. This alone will not guarantee a moisture free basement, but we can guarantee a dry basement when tied in with a Wellduct, Waterguard and a SumpPump, which can also be added in at a later time. To finish up the project we went around the basement and sprayed our RimTight Spray foam to cover any cracks or gaps in the foundation to assure no cold drafts would get in. 

After the project Basement Systems USA has completed, the customer is now on the right track to having an energy efficient and dry basement.
