This homeowner in Jackson, MI contacted us inquiring about services we could offer her to help her save money on her energy bills each month. After visiting the home, we identified several areas that could be improved, including the crawl space. Often times the floors above a crawl space will be cold if the crawl space isn’t properly insulated. We added TerraBlock insulation to the floors and SilverGlo to the walls to reflect heat back into the space, making it warmer. The last step was to add the CleanSpace liner to block water vapor and lower humidity in the space. By fixing up her crawl space, this homeowner is sure to save on her energy bills.

These home owners wanted their crawl space to be encapsulated. Our CleanSpace system works well for many issues that could happen in your crawl space. The system completely closes off your crawl space from any outside elements such as dirt, rodents, water, and any kind of moisture.

The CleanSpace material is also made of inorganic materials so no mold can grow on it, because lets be real no one wants mold in their home. The material is also super durable so it can still be walked on, have items stored on it and you don't have to worry about anything happening to it. 

Jay called us because this past spring he had a foot of water in his crawl space. He had a good feeling it was because his sump pump had failed so we checked it out and came up with the best solution for Jay and his home. Our system design specialist after a thorough inspection decided to install our vapor barrier and a new sump pump.

Our vapor barrier is called the CleanSpace system. It is a very thick, plastic material that will keep all outside elements (dirt, bugs, critters etc.) outside. CleanSpace is also durable enough that it can be walked on, crawled on, have stuff stored on it and it won't rip or stretch out. We highly recommend vapor barrier, it keeps your basement dry and makes it more appealing. 

This Jackson, MI crawl space had severe water damage due to intrusive water. The home owner did their best to seal the space with makeshift plastic liners but the dampness persisted. Our team removed the plastic liner and fiberglass insulation which retained water, and replaced it with CleanSpace crawl space water vapor barrier. We also added SilverGlo insulation on the walls to keep out cold air out and heat in. First we installed CleanSpace which has a vapor barrier quality that will protect his crawl space against excess water and moisture development. This solution is made of a thick, durable plastic liner and is placed along the walls and crawl space floor. Regular tarps you can buy from the store won't do the trick since they fail to prevent mold or bacteria growth and aren't waterproof. Then we had SmartJacks installed which are steel, supplemental support systems for crawl spaces. This system effectively supports sagging beams and floor joists.
