Lorri and Andrew had various problems within their home, from foundational to waterproofing issues. After calling Ayers and having an inspection done of their home, the team at Ayers concluded the house needed waterproofing efforts. One of the suggested products that would end up being installed was CleanSpace. CleanSpace utilizes a heavy-duty plastic liner that lines the crawl space, completing a complete moisture barrier. No water that attempts to seep into the crawl space will be funneled behind the clean room! In addition, this system will help the home maintain temperature more efficiently, saving Lorri and Andrew money!

This homeowner called about an issue with water entering the basement/crawlspace. We also insulated the floors with TerraBlock Crawl Space Floor Insulation which can be installed on uneven surfaces and prevents moisture from entering your crawl space. We also insulated the rim joists which are a common entry point for cold, moist outside air. 

Troy noticed a musty smell wafting through the vents in his home and wasn't sure where it was coming from. After searching the whole house for the source, he wound up in a moist, moldy crawl space. He was unsure how to fix the issue himself, so he researched his options and called Ayers for help. Dennis called up Ayers for crawl space repair options as his current support beams were failing on him. We had a crew come out to the home for a free inspection so we could determine the best solutions. Our solutions being SmartJacks as well as CleanSpace. SmartJacks will address the cracking support beams since these are strong, steel columns that are placed on solid, steel bases installed in the sub-floor and are capable of helping hold the weight of the home. We added a support beam above that we attached to the columns. This support system will provide Dennis much needed strength and stability. Next we added CleanSpace to help keep his crawl space in top notch shape as this is a thick, plastic liner with a vapor barrier that protects against excess moisture buildup that leads to mold or bacteria. Dennis's crawl space is now well supported and clean!
