This Grass Lake home had a musty smell coming from the crawl space and the owner has respiratory issues making her worry that there was mold in her home. When we had our initial inspection, we found that the main beam in the crawl space was rotted and broken. To support the floors, we installed a supplemental beam and SmartJacks. We then installed the CleanSpace Liner to encapsulate the crawl space and keep it clean. Lastly, we used the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the space dry and to filter mold spores and other particles. 

Late last year, our call center received a call from Luella, a local homeowner in Grayling, MI. She saw an Ayers Basement Systems advertisement online, read reviews and concluded that we were the proven experts to call. Luella informed us that her crawlspace was a cold damp dungeon that she and her children tried to avoid. After conducting our free assessment and diagnosing Luella’s crawlspace needs; we introduced her to our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. The CleanSpace encapsulation product is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the grim elements it faces below. We also determined the cement block supports under Luella’s home were no longer stabilizing her home. To supplement the CleanSpace and support her home we installed six Smart Jacks. The Smart Jack is a supplemental support system for crawl space applications. The Smart Jack effectively supports sagging beams and floor joists caused by, a length of span greater than spanning capability, floor load increased after construction, exceeding design values, and weakening over time due to high moisture and rot. After the installation of the CleanSpace system Luella told us she wished she would have had this transformation done years ago. Thanks to the hard work and efforts of our team, our new friend no longer thinks of her crawlspace as the terrible place it once was.

All Todd wanted was his peace of mind back. The crawl space in their summer home, where the whole family gathers, was letting in excessive amounts of moisture. The CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier automatically removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in the home's crawlspace. This system circulates the now dry air through the home and automatically removes the leftover water so you don't have to. 

Todd was overjoyed that his family would continue to have a happy and safe place to come together. His peace of mind has finally returned and he can't wait for all the fun he and his family will have this summer.

These Beaverton, MI customers called because they were interested in crawl space insulation and an encapsulation. As you can see in the before photo, they already had a system in place, but sadly, it wasn’t getting the job done. Many use plastic tarps like these to encapsulate their crawl spaces. The problem is they’re not guaranteed to keep water out, at least, not like our CleanSpace system. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that is impenetrable by moisture.

Seen in the after photo, the liner covers the entire dirt floor, one of the most common places for moisture to enter crawl spaces. To give the customers the insulation they were looking for, the crew also installed the silver wall panels in the after photo. These panels are referred to as our SilverGlo Wall Insulation. The silver surface reflects heat back to its source, just like the radiant barriers placed behind car windshields. With these two systems in place, this crawl space is now protected from moisture and abnormal temperatures.
