Michigan's ever-changing weather conditions had led to persistent moisture issues in Darrin's crawl space.
Seeking a solution, he turned to Ayers Basement Systems. After a thorough inspection, Ayers recommended the CleanSpace system to address the moisture. Darrin's home was no longer under the threat of water damage, and his crawl space was now a place of safety and security!
Jeff called up Ayers for a crawl space renovation. After inspection, our Ayers System Design Specialist decided CleanSpace would do the trick. They even decided to install our Drainage Matting to ensure it stays dry.
CleanSpace utilizes a durable, thick plastic liner that runs along the crawl space. It contains a vapor barrier, protecting it from excess moisture that can lead to bacteria or mold growth. Our Drainage Matting is lined underneath the CleanSpace plastic liner. This dimpled mat allows water to pass underneath making sure it reaches the drain.
This new system in Jeff's crawl space will ensure it stays dry and clean for decades!
Late last year, our call center received a call from Luella, a local homeowner in Grayling, MI. She saw an Ayers Basement Systems advertisement online, read reviews and concluded that we were the proven experts to call. Luella informed us that her crawlspace was a cold damp dungeon that she and her children tried to avoid. After conducting our free assessment and diagnosing Luella’s crawlspace needs; we introduced her to our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. She was shocked to learn what a difference the CleanSpace would make in her home.
The CleanSpace encapsulation product is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the grim elements it faces below. We also determined the cement block supports under Luella’s home were no longer stabilizing her home. To supplement the CleanSpace and support her home we installed six Smart Jacks. The Smart Jack is a supplemental support system for crawl space applications. The Smart Jack effectively supports sagging beams and floor joists caused by, a length of span greater than spanning capability, floor load increased after construction, exceeding design values, and weakening over time due to high moisture and rot. After the installation of the CleanSpace system Luella told us she wished she would have had this transformation done years ago. Thanks to the hard work and efforts of our team, our new friend no longer thinks of her crawlspace as the terrible place it once was.
All Todd wanted was his peace of mind back. The crawl space in their summer home, where the whole family gathers, was letting in excessive amounts of moisture. He was worried not only about potential structural damage the moisture would cause but the mold that results from it. Their home is supposed to be a safe, happy, and healthy place for their family to get together, so Todd called Ayers. Our crew determined that CleanSpace Wall System and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier would be the best solution.
The CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier automatically removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in the home's crawlspace. This system circulates the now dry air through the home and automatically removes the leftover water so you don't have to.
Todd was overjoyed that his family would continue to have a happy and safe place to come together. His peace of mind has finally returned and he can't wait for all the fun he and his family will have this summer.
