The fieldstone walls in the before photo were allowing water to easily come into this basement. Since he was concerned about the possible effects of the saturation, the owner gave us a call for a solution. Our cure for all things moisture or water vapor related is the CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a plastic liner that won’t allow mold to grow or moisture to pass through. As you can see in the after photo, at the foot of the wall there also sits a perimeter drainage system. Before the installation was completed, the crew covered the system with concrete. While CleanSpace won’t stop the wall from leaking completely, it will direct the water from those leaks into the Waterguard drainage system for discharge. Neither water or its vapor will reach the inside of this CleanSpace system.
Nancy called us to see what her options were for her crawl space. Her home is a doublewide that is on piers and has a faux block foundation. The space is open so they have been getting rodents in as well as all the cold from the winter months. During the winter months, the home and floors get very cold since the air and snow are getting into the crawl space. We insulated the area with spray foam and SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation and sealed the area off with the EverLast Crawl Space Door. This will keep all the rodents out and the warmth in!
Sharon’s crawl space near Centennial Acres Golf Course was allowing moisture to seep in, threatening her family’s air quality. Concerned for her children’s health, she called Ayers for a permanent solution. Our team installed a CleanSpace® vapor barrier and a new sump pump to seal out moisture and keep her home dry. Now, Sharon has peace of mind knowing her crawl space is protected, and her kids can play safely in the basement.
Martha's crawl space had a lot of moisture which was causing mold to grow as well. She called our team and asked us to waterproof her crawl space. Our team installed CleanSpace, which is a plastic sheet material that provides a water vapor barrier for the crawl space. It reduces moisture and humidity in the crawl space and is compatible with other crawl space materials.
With colder weather came colder floors in Teresa's home, and she hated having cold feet. She researched her options online and called Ayers to learn about the issue. Our crew of professionals visited her home to evaluate and realized the vents in her crawl space allowed cold air underneath her house. They suggested and installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier, a highly durable and antimicrobial material. CleanSpace deters moisture and cold air entry by fully encapsulating the crawl space walls and floors. Teresa is far more comfortable with warm feet!
