Miriam decided to encapsulate her crawl space. Her crawl space walls and floor are  made of concrete and she wants to protect it from the earth. We installed our CleanSpace Liner and drainage matting. The drainage matting creates a barrier between the liner and the ground, keeping any possible water outside of the crawlspace. The CleanSpace liner is made of a durable plastic similar to a pool liner. The liner protects the crawlspace from allowing any water vapor to enter that could create mold and bacteria growth detrimental to the family’s health.

This Grand Rapids couple were having issues with their crawl space. There was moisture in the area, mold growing on the structure, and the floor on the main level of the home was sinking. To support the sagging floor, we installed SmartJacks which are installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists and a sturdy base at the floor and will raise the floor back to the original level. We also closed off the crawl space to keep the mold and moisture out. The first step to encapsulating the area was to install Drainage Matting which has dimples in it to allow the water to flow under the liner and to be directed towards the sump pump.
