This sump pump discharge line was extended a whopping 18 feet to connect to the storm basin! The interior drainage system collects water coming into the basement and deposits it into the sump pump, which then pumps the water away from the home through the discharge line. By burying the discharge line, it elmininates unsighlty pipes and tripping hazards. 

Did you know that HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair does work on housing cooperatives and apartments as well as single-family homes? In this case, Homespec was contacted by a management company to fix a few vertical cracks in the basement walls of a co-op unit in Center Line, MI. These types of cracks can be easily repaired by one of HomeSpec’s foremen using high pressure urethane injections. The manager agreed to let HomeSpec move forward with the repairs.

A PolyLevel foreman, Domonique, injected a material that expanded behind the crack to fill in the gaps where water might pass through. The crack was then sealed to provide a permanent, waterproof solution. The company was happy with the crack repairs and happy knowing a new resident would be able to enjoy every floor of the unit. 

Nothing is more stressful than finding water in your partially finished basement. That's what happened to these homeowners in Southfield, Michigan. After a few days of heavy rain, they discovered moisture in their basement. After removing a few wall panels, they found leaking cracks and rod holes, AND water seeping from the floor/wall joint. Together, these collect water before it leaks into the basement, and funnel it away from the home. A SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to filter the air and keep the relative humidity at a healthy 55%. 

Now these homeowners can finish their basement and don't have to worry about water damage. 

A homeowner in Southfield, MI originally reached out to HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair with interest in external waterproofing solutions. The injected material would fill the space behind the foundation wall that was allowing water to enter the basement. The repair team would then seal the crack on the inside of the wall to further prevent leaks.
