A homeowner in Kasson, MN, noticed their basement was smelling musty. After doing a quick investigation, the homeowner discovered that sections of their carpet were damp. The homeowner did not want their problems to worsen, so they wanted to find a solution. Uncertain about who to work with, the homeowner asked a friend who had a similar issue. Their friend recommended working with us, American Waterworks. Trusting their friend's recommendation, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Nick, one of our Design Specialists. Nick arrived at the home and the homeowner showed him to the problem area. After Nick did a thorough walk-through of the basement, he found the source of the water. Nick alerted the homeowner of his findings and recommended an action plan. The plan included installing a new drain system and sump pump. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with Nick's suggestions. The plans were directed to our Foreman, Gabriel, and his crew and they traveled to the home. Once they arrived, Gabriel and his crew began installing the WaterGuard, our patented below-floor drain, around the perimeter of the basement. Next, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe sump pump. Then, the crew attached CleanSpace, a waterproof plastic vapor barrier, to the basement walls. To finish off the project, the crew attached an IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting, on the outside discharge line. The crew swiftly completed the project and cleaned up their materials. The homeowner was grateful to know their basement was no longer at risk. American Waterworks is happy to waterproof another home.
A happy customer from Pine Island, MN was so thrilled with the results of her first PolyLEVEL project, she is having us return at the end of Septemeber for another project. In her first project, American Waterworks was challenged with closing a 3 inch void between the sidewalk and the concrete porch near the entrance of her home. Within two hours, our Team had leveled the concrete slab using our trusted polymer foam injection services preventing any further settlement for years to come.
One of our Pine Island, MN neighbor's contacted American Waterworks with concerns about their unlevel driveway and cracked concrete garage apron. More specifically, Britt & Julie's garage door would not seal completely when closed, allowing water to seep into their parking space. American Waterworks used our trusted PolyLevel system to lift and level the concrete driveway slabs back to their original position and replaced the concrete garage apron to prevent any further water damage.
Mr Reker reached out to us in July with concerns from all the heaving, cracking and uneven concrete he was noticing around his property in Mantorville, MN.
American Waterworks was able to design a comprehensive plan to permanently lift and stabilize the sinking concrete slabs with a high-density polyurethane formula called PolyLEVEL.
A homeowner from Mantorville, MN, was down in his basement one day when he noticed a damp patch of carpet by the baseboard of one of his walls. He recalled that his area had been hit by a storm recently, but grew concerned about rainwater entering his space. He immediately took to the internet to search for 'interior basement waterproofing near me', and quickly found our website. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, one of our Design Specialists was headed out to the home.
Our Design Specialist got right to work assessing the basement. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. First, our Design Specialist recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly onto unfinished basement walls. It works to trap water entering through small holes or cracks in the wall, directing it downward and into a perimeter drain, which in this case, was recommended to be our WaterGuard drain. This unique French drain gets installed below the concrete floor, atop the footing of the foundation, to keep it out of the 'mud zone' where other drains of its nature tend to clog. It works to collect the water entering from the CleanSpace, as well as water entering through holes in the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to a disposal site like a sump pump or discharge line. Our Design Specialist had noted that the collected water had no means to exit the basement, so he recommended our SuperSump sump pump. This effective and economical pump is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump boasts a powerful Zoeller® â…“ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. The homeowner agreed with our Design Specialists recommendation and signed on the spot.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Kiko, led his team through the successful installation of 4f6t of CleanSpace and WaterGuard, as well as 1 SuperSump sump pump. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his water intrusion worries have been put to an end!
