This customer was interested in insulation and mold control. After we waterproofed the basement, we began to insulate by spraying foam on the band boards and installing Foamax insulation wall panels. The wall panels will help guide water to the system and they will never grow mold due to their inorganic nature.
This basement's walls were cracking everywhere and leaking water. We fixed the problem by installing PowerBraces, WaterGuard, BrightWall, FlexiSpan, and a Super Sump sump pump. This basement not only looks neat now, but it is also much more structurally sound.
This basement had stained and musty walls and floors before we came and installed our waterproofing system. In the after picture, you can see the SuperSump sump pump, the freshly poured concrete over the under the floor WaterGuard drains, and the moisture proof CleanSpace walls that also help filter water intrusions from the walls to the WaterGuard.
This homeowner was had water seeping into the basement through some cracks in a poured foundation wall. The homeowner called us and met with our Certified Inspector who recommended the FlexiSpan crack repair system to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
The FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is used to seal a crack in a poured foundation wall in the basement. The FlexiSpan crack repair begins with a bead of sealant placed over the crack to seal it. This is a typical method of repairing a foundation wall crack that is leaking water into the basement. The problem with only using a sealant is that as the ground freezes and thaws, and the house continues to settle, the crack could reopen a bit, allowing water to flow into the basement again. Here is where the FlexiSpan is different. After sealing the crack with the sealant, a FlexiSpan foam drain strip is also placed over the bead of sealant. The FlexiSpan foam drain strip will drain any water that leaks through the bead of sealant, and will direct the water down into the drainage well that will be installed at the bottom of the repair. The FlexiSpan crack repair system can also be tucked into the WaterGuard, our patented waterproofing drainage system. The next layer is a sealant overlay, which is placed over the FlexiSpan foam strip to completely seal the repair. The Sealant Overlay can flex up to 3/4's an inch, providing a long lasting solution. Lastly, we place a BrightWall panel over the crack to make the basement wall look cleaner.
One of our customers in Okeana, Ohio was having trouble keeping their well kept basement from flooding. It didn't take one of our certified inspectors to realize the water was seeping into the basement walls from the crack between the garage and the driveway. Luckily for the customer, we had the perfect solution. By using a trench drain in-between the garage, the home was able to deflect most of the water using one of our sump pumps. For extra caution, we also suggested installing our waterguard around the perimeter of the basement floor (not pictured). Notice how the trench drain can be a very practical and clean looking option for doors.
