Mr. Robert contacted us because he needed help with moisture problems in his crawlspace. Upon arriving at the free inspection, we found that the best solution was to encapsulate his crawlspace with the CleanSpace vapor barrier. To start, our team removed the debris from the crawlspace. They then installed the drainage mat, followed by the CleanSpace vapor barrier. Finally, they installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and a SmartDrain drain system to ensure good humidity and prevent flooding.

Problem

Ms. Forster recently purchased a property with a few crawl space issues:

• Damp, moldy smell in the house

• High level of humidity in the house

• Cold main floor during winter

Solution

• Encapsulation of the crawl space with our drainage membrane and CleanSpace coating

• Wall insulation with our SilverGlo panels

This is another crawl space that was suffering from water infiltration.

When water had invaded the place, it had affected badly on the floors in too many areas, causing it to sag. 

We have solved this crawl space problems by installing a drainage membrane on the floor to help water find its way to the drainage system. Then, we covered the floor with a CleanSpace membrane, which mainly serves to prevent water vapor from leaving the floor and rising to the upper floors. Next, we installed SmartJack systems, which are galvanized steel beams used to support the sagging floor. Finally,we had installed SmartDrain drainage systems, which are used to get rid of infiltrating water.

Now that our work is done, the place is completely encapsulated!

Mrs. Monique B. from Gatineau called us to tell us about her problems related to mold and moisture in her crawl space. Our crew then proceeded to install a CleanSpace membrane, a SmartSump pump system, and two SmartJack support pillars. They also applied Mold-X Neutralizer to areas affected by mold. Our customer can now enjoy her basement without having to worry about water getting in!

Mrs. Cuff wanted like to use her crawl space for storage, but it was very humid. Since she wanted to keep her belongings in good condition and avoid mold, she wanted to find a solution. So, she decided to contact Systèmes Sous-sol Québec in order to resolve the humidity problem quickly.

The solution for our client was to first install a SmartSump sump pump system. It is connected with a discharge line which will expel the water away from the foundation of the house. Then, a drainage mat was placed on the ground so that the water that ends up on the surface goes directly to the SmartSump. Finally, our CleanSpace coating is installed over the drainage mat. Material with a thickness of 20 mm composed of polyethylene and antimicrobial, it blocks moisture from the soil and prevents the proliferation of mold. It also gives a clear and bright appearance to the crawl space.

With this solution, Mrs. Cuff will be able to use her crawl space as storage space and above all have a dry crawl space!
