This home in Bethesda, MD had concerns about their moldy and musty smelling crawl space. They called Fortress Foundation Solutions to solve this issue. Our System Designer, Jordan went out to this home and provided a solution to this issue. Jordan suggested to install out Clean Space vapor barrier. This products name tells it all. It provides a barrier to protect your home from the earth's outside elements. While also providing a clean space for you to utilize your crawlspace.   

This homeowner near Glenwood, Maryland knew their crawlspace was in rough shape. They were having issues with moisture, causing their insulation to fall. When insulation falls, it can create issues regulating temperature in the home and increase the energy bill. Also, mold spores can form in insulation that holds moisture and get into the air. They gave Fortress Foundation Solutions a call to help remedy their issues. Our system designer gave them a free estimate and a permanent solution. Then our crew installed the project and gave the crawlspace a makeover. They installed a full encapsulation using our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to keep out any moisture and potential critters that no one wants below their home. Since their current insulation wasn't doing its job, they also opted for our SilverGlo insulation, which keeps outside air from getting in and inside air from escaping through the walls. Now their crawlspace is protected and looks great, and the home is safe and energy efficient.

Fortress Foundation Solutions raked and leveled this customer's crawlspace, removed old, ineffective black plastic barrier, and removed falling insulation. We then installed drainage matting, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, FoamMax Insulation, a TripleSafe Sump Pump System with external discharge, and a SaniDry Dehumidifier.
