This homeowner had a dirt crawl space - a bad idea because the natural moisture from the ground is actually pulled up and into the airflow of the home. Moisture in a crawl space almost always leads to mold and mildew growth, which can be an environmental hazard for everyone in the home if inhaled.
To remediate this issue, the 3 Pros team first laid down our dimpled drainage matting, then covered it with our CleanSpace Encapsulation System to fully seal the crawl space from wall to wall.
A homeowner named Tom gave us a call to inspect his crawl space. He knew he needed to make some improvements after another company attempted to do some work but they did it incorrectly. The biggest issue our Sales Representative found in the crawl space was mold. The insulation that hung from the crawl space ceiling was damaged and quite moldy. The 3 Pros team removed and properly disposed of the bad insulation and then treated then encapsulated the crawl space. We installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation System which includes drainage matting, terra block, and a 20 mil thick CleanSpace vapor barrier. Then, 2" thick SilverGlo insulation was installed on the crawl space walls and the rim joists were sealed with polyurethane spray foam. Now Tom is happy with a job well done!
To make this home feel more comfortable and make the floors in the kitchen warmer in the winter, we installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation System. The existing insulation was damaged, moldy, and no longer effective. After removing it, we encapsulated the crawl space with TerraBlock, CleanSpace, and SilverGlo Wall insulation. The rim joists were sealed with 2 inches of spray foam.
This Alexandria VA home had several issues leading to basement waterproofing needs. One of those issues was a basement window well that was leaking water into the home when it rained. Our production team needed to demolish the existing concrete well and dig out the space in order to install our exclusively sold Sunhouse Window Well with cover. They were able treat the brick section of the homes foundation and window to reduce pathways for water to leak inside before installing the Sunhouse Window Well. this along with several other services performed inside of the home will lead to a better controlled basement and better air quality in the home.
