When this customer reached out to us, she had multiple concerns regarding her crawlspace and its impact on her home. Firstly, she needed time to address the issues with her walls but recognized the need to resolve them in due course. Additionally, she noted that her kitchen floor above the crawlspace remained persistently cold, prompting her desire to utilize the crawlspace for storage. However, the space was old, dingy, and filled with cobwebs, making it unsuitable for her intended purpose. To address these concerns, she sought our assistance in encapsulating and insulating her crawlspace.
Understanding the importance of a clean, moisture-controlled crawlspace, our team recommended the installation of CleanSpace sheeting. This durable and reliable material acts as a barrier, preventing moisture from seeping into the crawlspace from the ground. By encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace, we aimed to create a controlled environment, protecting both the space itself and the floors above.
To further enhance the functionality and durability of the encapsulation, we utilized drain matting underneath the crawlspace. This added layer of protection serves to prevent the CleanSpace sheeting from tearing or getting damaged by the ground.
The comprehensive encapsulation and insulation project was completed successfully, providing Tracy with a transformed crawlspace that met her needs and expectations. She expressed her satisfaction in a 5-star review, commending the fantastic job and the timely completion of the project.
Nasty crawlspaces are becoming an epidemic in the US. Mold, humidity, bugs, and odors come into the main living spaces through the crawl space. With a crawlspace overhaul and repair you can turn a nasty crawlspace into a clean and healthy environment. The encapsulating process can turn an old, smelly crawlspace into a revitalized area of the home and in most cases additional storage as well.
James and Lynnece M. wanted to use their basement during the summer months but noticed a damp smell and water staining the walls.
As returning customers, they were excited to have us come back to their home. System Design Specialist, Calogeno Principato was able to identify multiple spots along the floors and walls where water was entering.
We directed the water down the walls behind our CleanSpace to our WaterGuard around the perimeter of their basement eventually dumping into our TripleSafe Pump System. Then we completely encapsulated the walls eliminating water vapor from evaporating into the air. This project used full height CleanSpace which added a lot of light reflecting surfaces which really brightened up the entire room!
This customer had dreams of finishing her basement to move her bedroom down there. Before starting that process she noticed some cracks in the foundation and was concerned that it could become a problem in the future. Our team came in and installed our CarbonArmor wall repair system to the bowing walls, ensuring that the walls will not move in any further. We then installed WaterGuard and CleanSpace to capture the water and remove it from the home using a sump pump. This will protect any finishing she does in the basement from water damage.
When our team walked into this home through the front door, there was an obvious bounce in the floor. Upon investigation, the floor was being held up by telephone poles that were cut to fit but they were not strong enough to hold keep holding the home up. Also, the floor was not level. The homeowner was concerned about the bounce and the ability of the floor to withstand weight since it was not supported very well. We fixed the problem by adding SmartJacks to the crawlspace to hold up the floor. There are 2 supplemental beams that run the length of the house. We added 5 Smartjacks to the front of the home and 5 more SmartJacks to the back of the home. We also added a supplemental beam in-between the existing cinderblock supports to finish supporting the house/floor from sagging and bouncing.
