This crawl space's poor insulation was causing the floors above the home to be pretty cold some days. The crawl space also had moisture issues because it was exposed to the open earth. We fixed all this by just wrapping the crawl space in Clean Space lining and pasting SilverGlo insulation all over the crawl space walls. When you seal the crawl space correctly, you only need insulation on the walls. This job now allows the owner's of the home to walk around barefoot in the Winter time!
This home in Lexington, Kentucky, had a dirty crawl space that needed repaired because it was locking moisture. We did our usual fix with CleanSpace, a SmartPump, SilverGlo, a SaniDry Sedona, and rim joist insulation. The crawlspace was much better looking and was functioning a lot better after we were through with it.
You would not believe how much water their is in your crawlspace. Non-enclosed crawlspaces trap so much humidity and condensation, that it can literally rain down there. Drainage matting, a SaniDry dehumidifier, CleanSpace walls, and a condensation pump can make your crawlspace dry and healthy again.
When you get your crawlspace encapsulated, you solve so many problems that you may not even know you're experiencing. For example, when you encapsulate with the Clean Space liner and insulate the walls with SilverGlo panels, you eliminate the need for insulation in the crawl space ceiling. A lot of the times, this fiberglass in the ceiling will soak up moisture and cause problems for the crawl space. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to eliminate all moisture.
