At Ayers, we are all about reliability, and our products reflect that. We transformed this old, non-reliable pump into a fully functional SuperSump. The SuperSump contains a pump stand (prevents clogging of any debris in the sump liner), pump alarm (for when the basement floods), and an airtight sump lid with a floor drain in it (helps water to go down but not air to come up). This home will now be able to rely on their sump pump to properly drain all of the water out of the basement.
Homeowners in Kalamazoo, MI were experiencing several inches of water throughout their entire basement. The problem? No sump pump!
We installed the TripleSafe sump pump system. TripleSafe is a safeguard feature that includes the use of three pumps to ensure this basement will stay dry, even in power outages and severe weather events. In the case of heavy water or primary pump failure, the second and more powerful pump will kick in, if there is a power outage the battery powered UltraSump will take over.
This homeowner called us because he wanted to get a crack in his basement wall fixed. The walls are poured concrete and the crack that is present allows water to enter with heavy rain. Basement walls tend to move due to concrete shrinking/expanding and because of the pressure given off from the soil surrounding the wall.
Considering these problems, we installed the FlexiSpan sealant, which repairs water leaks due to a cracks in a wall. The sealant is flexible and specially made to move with the wall to make sure the crack is sufficiently sealed and doesn’t re-crack as the wall continues to shift. This system also includes the installation of a drain at the base of the seal to make sure any water leakage can drain easily.
A basement wall in Kalamazoo, MI had vertical cracks going all the way down the length of it. Our professional team took one look at the wall and knew something had to be done. In the before picture, you can see what the vertical cracks going all the way down the wall look like.
We decided that out CarbonArmor system would be the best option! The flexible, fabric straps our team installed on the wall are stronger than concrete, 10 times stronger than steel and are specifically designed to be used on basement walls. The unique flexible design allows the CarbonArmor system to contour tightly to the cracks in the wall. In the after picture, you can see the fixed wall with the CarbonArmor system installed. The wall is now as strong as ever and the cracks are fixed!
The homeowners in Kalamazoo, MI noticed they had water coming through their back wall into their basement. The water was especially bad during heavy rains.
Having water seep into your basement is bad enough, but it is even worse when it is destroying a finished basement. The water came in so frequently that it started soaking the homeowners new carpet. They knew they needed to fix the problem before it ruined anything else in their basement, so they called Ayers Basement Systems.
Our professional team installed the WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system. The WaterGuard system sits on the top of the footing in the basement in order to prevent clogging from mud or other debris. The system works by trapping floor and wall seepage before it has a chance to damage the basement in any way. Once the water is trapped in the drain it is taken directly to the sump pump. The sump pump then removes the water from the home keeping your basement nice and dry.
The before picture shows the WaterGuard system once it is put in place and the after picture shows the system after it is covered with a clean layer of concrete.
