Jim and Kathy were looking to fix and waterproof their egress window. Over the years, the enclosure for the window had deteriorated, and water appeared to be leaking into the home. The couple decided to contact Ayers and explore their options. An inspection of their home determined that a new window and enclosure should be installed. After everything was set and installed, Jim and Kathy's window looked better, and would no longer let water into their home!
Richard had an egress window installed into his basement. While it was great for safety and the natural light that would come in, it began causing water problems. Whenever it rained, the well of the window would fill up with water, bringing worry to Richard that it may start leaking into the basement. After using a temporary solution to cover up the window, he decided to call Ayers to see what could be done. A specialist at Ayers came out to inspect the window and determined that an egress window cover and lid would be perfect for the job. Installing the window cover required the crew at Ayers to dig down and around the old window to allow access to install the cover. Once the window cover was installed and buried, and the top was fasted and secured, no more water could get into the window well. Richard was happy to have found a permanent solution for his widow while eliminating the eyesore it once was!
Mindy and Gordon came to Ayers seeking solutions for their problematic basement. The basement would get wet and sometimes even soaked, causing water damage. Although there was a sump pump in one part of the basement, it appeared that it wasn't doing enough. After an inspection of their home, the Team at Ayers suggested installing the SuperSump with the addition of WaterGuard.
The SuperSump sump pump utilizes a powerful Zoeller pump capable of pumping water out of the basement consistently. The consensus from the inspection determined that not only was the pre-existing pump being overloaded, but the water wasn't funneling to the pump correctly. Thus, WaterGuard was also installed, a French Drain system buried between the basement floor and the home's footing. Once installed, any water that seeps into the basement through walls or the floor will be collected by the drain and funneled toward the sump pump. These two products offered a permanent solution for Mindy and Gordon as their sump pumps won't get overloaded, and the WaterGuard system would funnel any water to the pumps!
Scott worried about the water pooling on his basement floor after every storm. He knew his sump pump wasn't working and wanted to replace it, so he researched his options and called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a team of experts to his home to assess the situation and recommend a solution. They suggested the TripleSafe sump pump designed to prevent pump failure with three separate pumps. The first is the primary, followed by a backup, and finally a battery-powered backup pump in case of outages. Scott is relieved to have a dry basement!
Zach was sick of the puddles of water forming in his basement from occasional water leaks so he decided to call Ayers. After an inspection was complete our System Design Specialists recommended we install our WaterGuard System, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and our SaniDry XP Dehumidifier.
The first installation was our WaterGuard System which is a sub-floor drainage system that collects the water leaking in through the walls and is placed along the perimeter of the basement. Then we added TripleSafe which has three pumps in one trusty liner that team up to keep water out. The last pump is battery-operated so it will turn on if the power fails. Lastly we installed our SaniDry XP Dehumidifier to clean and filter the air from unwanted moisture.
Zach was ecstatic with the results now that he won't have to stress over these water leaks!
