A homeowner in Lee, New Hampshire, had water and moisture entering their basement. They were planning on remodeling the basement but wanted to make sure water could ruin it. A homeowner in New Durham, New Hampshire was experiencing seepage through cracks in her basement wall near her egress window. This has created a very annoying cleanup process and has caused the homeowner to become tired of continuously moving her personal items being stored in the basement. Looking for a permanent solution to have peace of mind, she reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
After completing a free inspection, Design Specialist Jason Vachon recommended installing a SunHouse window well and cover, FlexiSpan crack sealant, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The SunHouse window well and cover keeps the area outside of the egress window clean and is designed to direct more sunlight into the basement. The plastic clear cover keeps out pests, rain, snow and debris, ultimately protecting the window. The FlexiSpan crack sealant was used to seal a crack on the inside of the basement which was connected to the egress window. FlexiSpan is designed to adjust to wall movement, meaning that despite minimal settlement, the crack will remain sealed. Lastly, our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed. This alleviates moisture in the basement to maintain a dry and comfortable climate throughout the home.
With these systems in place, the homeowner's basement has been transformed into a dry and welcoming space with a lot of sunshine!
