A homeowner in Stow, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 20 years. Over the past 20 years, they have always had dampness in their crawlspace and have finally wanted to prevent the moisture and the damp smell in their crawlspace. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended encapsulating the crawlspace in the basement with CleanSpace.

This homeowner in Sudbury, Massachusetts, purchased their 80-year-old home in 2019. When they purchased the home, the inspector noted in their inspection that the vapor barrier in the crawlspace should be replaced. The homeowner didn't have the money at that time but a couple of years later they decided to call EFS for a free inspection. We inspected the crawlspace and confirmed that the vapor barrier should be replaced, but our Design Specialist also noticed that the floor system was sagging and should be stabilized. Our Design Specialist recommended installing CleanSpace and SmartJacks into the crawlspace to re-encapsulate the space and add support to the floor system.
In Westford, MA, a homeowner faced a common but troubling issue: a wet crawl space with a dirt floor, leading to unwanted humidity. Understanding the discomfort, we jumped into action to turn this nuisance around. As shown in the before photo, the challenge was evident. Yet, notice in the after photo how our solution reinstates comfort. By laying down a robust drainage matting beneath our CleanSpace liner and installing a high-efficiency SaniDry Sedona, we not only addressed the wetness but set the stage for further waterproofing with a TripleSafe liner—ready for a future pump installation. This transformation is not just about solving today’s humidity issue; it’s about sustainable comfort for the days to come.
A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire was sick of using the shop vacuum to clean up her wet basement. She wanted to look for a permanent solution that would keep her basement dry and reduce humidity.
Our team recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump system, WaterGuard perimeter drainage, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. This waterproofing system is designed to keep water out of the basement by capturing it along the border of the foundation before entering the home, and then filtering it to the sump pump. The sump pump system removes water out of the home through an exterior discharge line. In the photo, CleanSpace is pictured. CleanSpace is a wall encapsulation system that reduces moisture in the home. This system eliminates humidity, adds insulation to the home, prevents wood rot and pests, and can even keep floors warm.
With these systems in place, a temperate and dry living space is created. Whether the homeowner decides to use the space for storage or build a fully finished basement, she has peace of mind that the basement is safe from water.
A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire, had lived in their home since 2007. Recently the homeowners have noticed an odor coming from the crawlspace. They called EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing CleanSpace encapsulation into the crawlspace to prevent moisture from entering the space and causing an odor.
