Before, this Marlborough basement had a water issue that would make the finished area unwelcoming with damp carpet and a musty odor. The solution for this basement was to install DryTrak Baseboard Drain Pipe System. This system was necessary in this basement because it had monolithic flooring. We epoxy the drain pipe directly to the floor, leaving a slight opening along the top to collect water leaking in from the walls. Therefore, the basement is waterproofed without jackhammering! Half wall restoration was also performed to fix the damage that was caused by the water. The homeowner also decided to get rid of the original carpet and install ThermalDry Flooring to give the area a completed look. The TripleSafe includes a primary pump, a secondary pump that kicks in when the pump has to deal with heavy leaks, and a battery powered backup pump that is ready to take over in the case of a power outage. Finally, he installed Zen Walls throughout the basement, which prevent air and moisture from flowing into the basement space, and give the room a clean, finished look.
