Curtis contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair concerned about high moisture problems under his home in Whiteville, NC. Southeast Foundation's experienced inspector RJ Bailey met with Curtis to go over the crawl space of his home. RJ found that Curtis was experiencing high moisture levels because there wasn't a vapor barrier installed and the vents where open allowing outside air to mix with the natural water vapor in the crawl space from the earth's ground. Our crew installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. By installing the CleanSpace Encapsulation System we are able to seal the vents of the home stopping the outside air from entering, along with the CleanSpace Liner to prevent the grounds water vapor from coming in. Brian had wanted to have installed hardwood flooring through out his home but before they could continue with the work the flooring company suggested having a vapor barrier installed to prevent issues that can arise with hardwood floors and moisture.
