Monster Crawlspace turned New, Toccoa GA

Have you ever been sitting in your home late at night and heard a strange noise? Typically humans react with fear to things that lurk in the dark. Under your home might be scary, but you remind yourself that nothing is there. In this Toccoa home, the crawlspace actually was something to be scared of. This crawlspace was the equivalent of children fearing the monsters under the bed. But there is no need to fear because our All-Dry of the Carolinas team is the nightlight of crawlspaces.

When our team arrived at the home the crawlspace was in ruin. The floor was covered with an old muddy liner that collected had water. Insulation hung from the ceiling, the foundation had begun to deteriorate, and even the crawlspace door was falling apart. There was even evidence of wildlife that littered the entire crawlspace.

But the All-Dry of the Carolinas team knew exactly what to do. After cleaning out all rocks, trash, insulation and animal nests, our team installed a drainage system and SuperSump Pump. This system was then covered with a drainage mat and CleanSpace Liner. Smart Jacks were installed in the ground to give the house a steadier foundation. Then after the crawlspace was picture perfect an EverLast door was installed. This project started off as a nightmare but with the help of All-Dry of the Carolinas it was able to be saved.

WaterGuard Job in Mount Airy, GA

This basement in Mount Airy, GA was taking on water. Our All-Dry of the Carolinas team installed a WaterGuard. A water guard is a system that intercepts the water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it unseen and safely into the SumpPump where it is then flushed from the basement. WaterGuard is different because it is designed to not sit in the dirt as most draining systems do. There is a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall allowing wall seepage to drain through the WaterGuard while keeping it away from the dirt. Since this type of drainage is separated from dirt, the chances of it clogging are nearly impossible!

French Drain Installation in Gray Court, SC

French drains aren't something that we do too often, but sometimes it can be just the right solution for a customer. This school in Gray Court had water intrusion into their gym. Since the water was not pouring in from the walls, our Service Design Specialist knew that a French drain is exactly what this building needed to keep the water from getting into it.

The "before" picture shows the building before the French drain was installed. While you obviously cannot see the water intrusion happening, you can see that the building is located on a very flat area. So when it would rain, the water would basically just sit there, not having anywhere to drain out to. The water would sit there and soak through the walls and into the ground.

In the "after" picture, you can see the french drain. Rather, you can see part of the French drain system. While you cannot actually see the drain where the water goes, you can see the gravel/crushed rock that is laid around it. The rock provides a good "foundation" so that nothing will wash away or into the drain, but also allows water to easily pass through and around it and into the drain. In the right conditions, this can be a low-cost and effective solution.

Martin, GA WaterGuard Installed in Basement

Time after time, these homeowners tried a number of solutions to their water problem. No matter the solution, this water issue just wouldn’t abate. Just like what you see here in the “before” photo, water would spill from the walls and then dry against the floor. Once it dried fully, this is what you would see.

Now, the “after” photo shows what we’ve done to actually fix this problem. Here, along the wall, we’ve installed WaterGuard. WaterGuard is the perfect piping system that actually disappears into the floor. We lift the cement floors, install the drain system and then recover it with cement.

The owners of this Martin, Georgia basement was more than relieved to see the solution work perfectly.

WaterGaurd Job done in Martin, GA

This is yet another home with a basement with a roll up garage door in Martin, GA that had water seeping into it. This is another prime example of hydrostatic pressure forcing water through the walls of basements. The homeowner this property called us at All-Dry of the Carolinas where we sent out our system design specialist, Johnathan Geddie  to check out the problem. Once Jonathan got to the home he saw that water had been seeping through the walls of the basement. This basement needed a combination of WaterGuard, BrightWall, a UltraSump and a SuperSump pump to take care of their problem. The WaterGuard is connected to the SuperSump pump so any water can be drained into it. The sump pump will flush the water out once it reaches a certain spot. When the sump pump flushes the water, it goes through a piping system and through the LawnScape outlet where the water flows into the yard away from the home.
