A customer from South Bend called us about her wet and gross crawl space. We gave her a free estimate and decided to install CleanSpace technology. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. This liner was combined with CleanSpace vent covers to insulate and seal the air out. Now this crawl space will be clean and dry forever.

The best thing about CleanSpace is it can easily be installed around objects in the basement such as pipes. CleanSpace works to encapsulate the entire area. It makes sure moisture, dust, dirt, and unwanted insects stay out of your crawl space. If a crawl space becomes damp this can transfer to the living areas above it. Moisture can cause mold and no one wants mold in their home. 

This crawl space was poorly built and in need of encapsulation. The homeowner called us to see what his options were. In the end, he chose not only to encapsulate but chose also to insulate as well. Any water that entered under the encapsulation layer is directed to a SmartSump pump system that removes the water from the crawl space. SilverGlo insulation on the block walls helps reflect heat back into the home, making floors warmer and heating cost lower. Finally, spray foam helps seal and cracks, gaps, or common entry points for water or cold air. This crawl space got the royal treatment and we're sure the homeowner is going to love the difference.
