Springtime in Michigan has finally arrived and what better way to welcome the season change than with CleanSpace. This Pierson, Michigan crawlspace was in dire need of waterproofing, cleaning and dehumidifying when Tim decided to give us a call. He was concerned of mildew and mold growth after noticing how wet the area had become. Our System Design Specialist Alejandro and his team made it their mission to transform Tim’s crawl space into an odor-free and dry area and that’s exactly what they did!
We began by ridding the area of miscellaneous debris. When creating an odor-free space, making sure the area is clean is extremely important because it ensures that no moisture is able to linger behind. Next we placed our CleanSpace Drainage Matting. The matting rests directly on the crawl space floor to trap moisture and direct water to your drainage system. The matting is compatible with all of our crawl space products making it cost efficient and convenient.
Lastly, we cover the area with the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier Liner. The thick, durable, liner resembles that of a pool liner and is designed to trap anything from entering the crawl space floor; that includes, moisture, mold, and even pests! To ensure that Tim’s basement would remain dry for years to come, we installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This powerful machine has the ability to remove 95 pints of water per day and the best part – it’s self-draining so you never have to worry about the hassle of emptying it.
In less than a day’s time, Tim was able to check off the first item on his spring-cleaning list and was happily left with a dry, hassle-free crawl space. For more information on how you can achieve your dream basement and crawl space needs, contact us today!
Rick’s crawl space had water intrusion constantly. He was tired of worrying about his crawl space so we installed CleanSpace, a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. Not only does this system create an energy-efficient crawl space, but it also gives your crawl space a clean finish. This material will be applied to your floors and walls to create a sleek look and an uninterrupted barrier.
Tim A. was afraid that mildew or mold had started growing in his wet dirt crawl space. His home was built in 1900 without a sump pump allowing water to accumulate and stand for long periods of time. We installed our waterproof CleanSpace crawl space liner to create a vapor barrier between the dirt and the home. We added drainage matting below the liner to capture intrusive water and transport it into the perimeter drain system. That water is then sent to their newly installed Triple Safe Sump Pump which discharges it far from the home. Tim went one step further and opted to have us install a SaniDry Sedona high performance dehumidifier that will keep this space dry and clean well into the future.
The homeowners called us because although there were no visible cracks in the basement, water was still getting in and the walls were literally starting to crumble.
We installed WaterGuard to drain the water, and the CleanSpace wall system with BrightWall paneling to protect the basement from any water seepage through the walls. A SaniDry XP to control ambient humidity finished off the job and now their basement is safe and usable space.
It’s clear to see that this crawl space wasn’t very inviting. Crumbling insulation and ceiling made this space unusable and likely to leak. CleanSpace, however, helped solve these problems. This durable plastic liner provides a moisture barrier and prevents mold growth. Since its made of so many layers of cord-reinforced polyethylene, it can be walked and won’t rip. This not only allows the homeowners to enter, but transforms the area into a useable space for storage.
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
