Deb and her family built an addition onto their cabin in Osage, MN. However, the older part of the cabin where the bedrooms are had sagging floors and she knew they needed additional support in to be safe. Deb decided to call American Waterworks to claim her FREE estimate. This entitled Deb to a free home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed to the property and began a thorough home inspection to properly diagnose the space and propose a proper solution. Kole found by examining the crawlspace underneath the floors that they were improperly supported, so he proposed that Deb and her family invest in our SmartJack solution. Deb agreed and set an appointment to get started.

Our Foreman and his crew headed out to the property and got to work. By using 3 SmartJacks, 8 Joist Assist Brackets, and a 16ft Supplemental Beam in the crawlspace below, the team was able to stabilize the floors permanently. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness. This system is also unique in that it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel, so rusting isn't a worry. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that stops moisture from passing through the floors and concrete walls. Our Foreman, Ryan, and his production team began the project by cleaning out the entire crawl space from back to front. Next, our team installed 1,092 square feet of our CleanSpace Encapsulation Moisture Barrier, which is made to prevent mold and pests, provides more storage space, and keeps the warm and cold air out depending on the season. The installation took two days and James was happy with the work that was done!

Our Foreman, Corey Tollefson, and his production team began the project by applying 1,436 feet of drainage matting on the floor of Mark's crawl space. Our drainage matting is made to direct the water flooding the crawl space to the perimeter crawl space drain and sump pump system. Next, our team installed 2,288 feet of our CleanSpace Encapuslation Vapor Barrier. Our vapor barrier is used to transform the crawl space into a dry, clean, and energy-efficient part of the home. Along with protection from mold and rot, a dry crawl space will also be inhospitable to termites, cockroaches, ants, crickets, and many other pests that need excess moisture to survive.

Jeff M. of Audubon, MN, met our team at one of our Home Show events. After learning about what the American Waterworks team does, he realized that his crawlspace desperately needed our attention.
