A West Salem, WI, homeowner was surfing the web one day when she stumbled upon an article about radon gas. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Ross J, was scheduled to head out to the home. When he arrived, he learned that the homeowner had conducted a home test which had indicated higher-than-average radon levels. So, Ross began his appointment looking for the appropriate place to out a mitigation system. When he finished his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner. Ross explained that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by an experienced radon mitigation specialist, a radon abatement system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner was impressed with Ross's solution and signed on the spot. 

The day of the installation eventually rolled around. Our Foreman, Geno, and his team wasted no time getting to work installing the system. After a long day for our crew, our customer was delighted to know that she could put her faith in the air her and her family were breathing in each day!

To complete the project, our crew filled the open gaps with river rock and applied a new layer of concrete over them.

A homeowner in La Crosse, WI was looking to have her outdated wood paneling in her basement replaced with something a little more attractive and water resistant. As you can see in the before photo, the wood paneling and concrete walls do not go well together. And it looks like she may have previously had water damage in the area.
