After purchasing their Forest City, IA home, Matt & Jenni decided to contact American Waterworks to have a new sump pump installed in their basement after realizing the DIY version wasn't keeping up with the demands of their home. American Waterworks was a no-brainer for these two, as our Team had previously installed our Geo-Lock Foundation Wall Anchor reinforcement system in the home back in 2013.
Bryan A. in Forest City, IA was tired of dealing with a wet basement after heavy rains and snow melt. The water had started to cause damage to his property and was creating a musty, unhealthy space. He heard our advertisement on the radio and decided to give us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with him and evaluate the situation. Dylan designed a thorough plan and assured Bryan that our waterproofing system would provide a permanent solution.
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Bryan’s basement by first removing the concrete around the inside perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor. Next, they installed 164 feet of our WaterGuard drainage System and 36 feet of lateral line. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner, filled the gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Water is now guided through the WaterGuard, to the SuperSump, and is quietly, and efficiently discharged from the home. Bryan was pleased with the results, and glad he made the investment to protect his home.
John of Conger, MN had water leaking through his bowing foundation walls and needed repair done right away. After seeing American Waterworks on channel 3 KIMT TV News, he called our office to schedule a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist went to his home to inspect the problems and come up with a solution. John felt comfortable with the proposal so he went ahead with the project and scheduled an installation date.
Our Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement floor, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard, which is an underground drain that collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our SuperSump Sump Pump which is designed to keep basements dry for long periods of time. Next, our crew applied our CleanSpace Wall System around the basement walls which is a plastic vapor barrier that prevents mold and humidity build-up and serves as an extra protectant. Lastly, Hugo and our team installed our GeoLock Wall Anchors to stabilize and straighten the walls back into their normal positions. To complete the project, our team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. John's peace of mind was restored and he felt much more safe and comfortable living in his own home!

Mike S. in Nerstrand, MN had water seeping into his basement from the ground and the walls. It had caused damage to his home and made the basement an unlivable space. He decided it was time to get help from a professional waterproofing contractor. A friend of his had previously worked with American Waterworks and recommended us to Mike, so he gave us a call to set up a FREE onsite inspection.
Our Design Specialist determined that the best option to permanently waterproof Mike’s basement would be to install a full perimeter of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump and a full perimeter of CleanSpace. Mike agreed that was the right plan for his needs, so they set a date for the installation.
Our crew removed the concrete perimeter of the basement and laid the WaterGuard drainage system. This system guides water properly to the sump pump, which then discharges the water to the outside of the home. Then, our CleanSpace barrier was installed, which protects the walls from any water seeping and from mold growing. The installation process took a couple of days, but Mike and his family can now enjoy a clean, dry and livable basement for a lifetime.

A homeowner in Britt, IA, was inspecting their basement following a heavy rainstorm. To their surprise, the homeowner discovered several wet spots throughout their basement. Worried about the long-term damage, the homeowner began looking into professional waterproofing companies near Britt, IA. The homeowner had work previously completed by us, so they gave us a call to check out the basement. The homeowner was connected to our Service Department, and then they sent one of our Service Technicians, Darin, to the home to take a closer look. After Darin arrived, he began his detailed inspection of the basement. During his inspection, Darin discovered the basement suffered from water intrusion and needed repair. Darin was able to come up with a proposal that would solve all the issues in the basement. After presenting the plan, the homeowner knew this was their best plan of action. Next, Darin passed the plans along to our Logistics team to be approved. Once the plans were approved, the proposal was sent to our Formean, Kevin, and his crew. Kevin and his team traveled to the home and began the waterproofing installation. First, Kevin and his crew began by installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe Sump Pump. Then, the crew installed a feedline to connect the WaterGuard to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the crew's work. American Waterworks is happy to assist our homeowners after our initial installation.
