The homeowners have lived in their home for the past 35 years and have wanted to improve the conditions of their crawlspace. The crawlspace was covered with dirt and debris and allowed moisture and drafts into the home. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace, SilverGlo, Rim Joist Insulation, and a SaniDry Sedona to control the humidity.

After inspection, our Design Specialist recommended installing CleanSpace vapor barrier and WaterGuard perimeter drainage. This system is designed to encapsulate the wall to block moisture and direct it to the perimeter drainage system. The perimeter drainage system leads to a sump pump that disposes water out of the home. This homeowner already had a sump pump, but with the foundation being surrounded by so much wet soil, this system prevents all the additional water from leaking through the basement walls. Other benefits of this system include insulation, preventing drafts, and creating a more comfortable living space.
