When this homeowner noticed signs of foundation trouble, they turned to us for help after thorough online research. Our consultation with a Design Specialist revealed a significant deflection in their wall, typically requiring extensive rebuilding. Fortunately, our company offers an innovative solution—the Everbrace Wall System—avoiding the need for wall replacement.
We began by installing necessary blocking in the floor joists for our top bracket. Next, we carefully cut concrete to create footings for our PowerBrace systems, applying CleanSpace as a vapor barrier. Sheet metal was then hung to relieve weight from the foundation wall. PowerBraces were installed, and footings were filled with concrete. Finally, we injected PolyLevel through the sheet metal, creating balanced pressure for stable support.
Thanks to our approach, the foundation issues were resolved without disruptive wall replacement, restoring both structural integrity and peace of mind for the homeowners.
After living in their new home for six months, these new homeowners realized that there were a few serious issues with their home. More specifically these issues pertained to the structural integrity of their home, as well as water penetrating their home. Because of these issues, they decided to contact Basement Systems of New York to see how we could remediate the issues at hand.
By installing our patented systems we will be able to resolve both the direct and indirect effects of the water issues they are dealing with. More importantly, we will be able to restore both structural integrity back to this home and instill peace of mind for the homeowners.
We started by jackhammering their entire concrete slab and removing it. After removing the old concrete slab, we dug down several inches to establish our area for our pre-cast footings. Once all our footing were at the proper depth we laid our pre-cast footings and installed our SmartJack foundation support systems.
Once we installed our SmartJack systems, we moved on to cutting both our drain mat and CleanSpace to the proper dimensions before applying them to the basement walls. After completing the installation of our drain mat and CleanSpace. We then applied our PowerBraces with top lever brackets to the walls.
After applying our PowerBraces with top lever brackets we installed our WaterGuard waterproofing system around the perimeter of the basement, which we tied into our TripleSafe sump pump system with an external discharge line. Finally, we completed this project by pouring a new concrete slab.
Since completing this project, the homeowners have noticed a tremendous difference in the structural integrity of their homes. As well they now have a functional and usable space that is not affecting the comfort levels of their home due to water. They could not have been any happier with how their project came out. After purchasing their new home these homeowners noticed several issues that were occurring in their basement. More specifically water coming in through the wall-floor joints, humidity on the wall, and a subtle crack along their left basement wall. Because of these issues, they contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what could be done to take care of the issues at hand.
To address all the issues in their basement we installed several of our patented products. These products consisted of our WaterGuard waterproofing system around the perimeter of their basement, four CarbonArmor foundation stabilizing straps, five PowerBrace wall supports a TripleSafe sump pump system, and finally our SaniDry XP dehumidification system.
These five systems integrated into one will make sure that their basement stays dry, humidity stays out, but more importantly that their home does not fall over.
These homeowners contacted Basement Systems of New York because of two issues plaguing their home. More specifically a radon level of five point two in their home and damp, wet, musty crawl space, which was creating many issues upstairs, as well as affecting their health. Because of how well their project came out with our sister company Foamco they decided to contact us and see what could be done to improve the overall quality of their home.
To take care of the issues they were experiencing, we installed our patented radon mitigation system along with an additional penetration point and our SmartDrain basin. We then proceeded to encapsulate their crawl space with our 20-millimeter thick CleanSpace vapor barrier. Once installed, we sprayed 2" of closed-cell spray foam to our CleanSpace vapor barrier. After laying our vapor barrier, we finished this project off with one of our patented Basementaire dehumidification systems.
By applying our patented products to their home, we reduced their radon level from their previous five-point two to a two. While the main concern for these homeowners was their radon level, they were also concerned about the humidity, dampness, and mustiness throughout their home, by encapsulating their crawl space and installing our dehumidification system, we were able to remediate the problem at hand. In doing so, we were able to make their home more comfortable. Overall these homeowners were so glad that they had both a comfortable home again, as well as peace of mind restored to them.
This home has needed some TLC since day one due to its poor compaction of the soil when it was backfilled and graded when it was first built. Because this home was originally built on the fill basement floor with radiant heat and bluestone it settled. The homeowner several years ago repaired the settlement issue by the stones and adding a larger mortar bed. This worked for a short time. Because of this reoccurring issue, they contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what could be done to take care of the issue at hand.
For us to take care of the issue at hand we had to lift some of the stones and remove the prior incorrect repair to be able to see the original pour line. Once we were able to figure out where the original pour line was we then started to lift and level this home's floors back to their proper height with the help of PolyLevel.
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
