This client had water leaking into his basement, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions to come give him an estimate for waterproofing. We sent out our System Designer, Danny Camunas, to the client's property, where he did a thorough inspection and wrote up a quote. After the client accepted, our Foreman, David Bowers, and his crew went out to complete the project. They started out by drilling around the edge of the wall to make room for our WaterGuard. After putting that down, they filled the hole with gravel, topped it off with cement, and finished the inside with some of our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier along the walls. Attached to the WaterGuard outside was our LawnScape Outlet for drainage, along with our IceGuard to prevent freezing during the winter. The customer was very happy with his newly dry basement!
We love seeing clean, dry crawl spaces! This particular homeowner, whose crawl space was already encapsulated, noticed a musty smell coming from his crawl space, and when our System Designer, Paul Heckman, went down there, he found that water was seeping into the crawl space through the insulated walls, and designed a solution. Our Foreman, Charlie Evans, and his crew went in and removed some of the old insulation, and replaced it with our own SilverGlo Insulation. They lined the crawl space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and installed one of our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to ensure that our client's home stays clean and dry! No more musty smells for this homeowner!
This homeowner's crawlspace was in bad shape. It was holding a lot of moisture, causing the insullation to fall and the air quality to be less than ideal. A damp crawlspace can also threaten the integrity of the home by weakening the floor joists and beams. They called Fortress Foundation Solutions for help. Our systems designer went out and gave them a free estimate and proposed a solution to save their crawlspace. A crew installed a full encapsulation using our CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo insulation. They also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which acts as an air purifier as well as a dehumidifier. This crawlspace is now safe from moisture and critters and has been turned into a usable space for storage. On top of all that, the homeowners can have peace of mind that they are breathing the cleanest air thanks to the SaniDry Sedona.
This homeowner in Arlington, Virginia had been dealing with water in his basement. He attempted to remedy the basement flooding issue with an inefficient open sump pump. Not only could this generic sump pump not keep the basement dry, but it not being sealed properly posed other issues. The open sump allowed moisture from the water it did collect to escape out into the space, which was causing the air to be humid and smell musty. He decided he needed a permanent fix, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions. Our system designer went to the home and gave a free estimate and designed a system to remedy the problem. Fortress installed a waterproofing system that included our SuperSump pump, which is capable of pumping 2,200 gallons of water per hour. This SuperSump was installed with our UltraSump battery back up system that continues to pump up to 11,500 gallons of water during a power outage. All of our sump systems are air tight so moisture and smells can't escape into the air of the home.
This customer called because they were ready to list their home for sale, but needed to fix the water problem in the crawl space first. They were able to quickly get an appointment with Zach Bullock who completed an inspection and provided an estimate the same day. Charlie Evans, foreman, was able to come with his crew to regrade, install EZ flow drainage pipe and a SmartSump sump pump system to keep the crawlspace dry. A dry crawl space is at the top of home buyer's lists, making this home buyer ready!
