A customer called stating that they were experiencing a bit of a flooding problem in their crawlspace that had caused some mold to form. In order to fix this issue, the best solution was to install our Crawl Space Vapor Barrier.

This durable, white liner has a fast, clean installation. It gave the customer a dry, clean crawlspace in a day without worrying about troubling mold and water problems ever returning. 

When this family moved into their St. Joseph, MI home and started experiencing allergies, they started researching what the cause could be. The home had a crawl space that wasn’t encapsulated, and after reading about how damp crawl space air can travel up through the home due to the Stack Effect, they decided to give us a call. Our team installed CleanSpace in the crawl space to seal off the home from the earth and help keep moisture out in the future. CleanSpace is a durable, thick liner made of polyester cord reinforcement. The liner blocks out water vapor from both the walls and dirt floor, keeping the air in the crawl space drier and healthier.

Sandra wanted her crawl sapce encapsulated so our team installed CleanSpace, an uninterrupted vapor barrier. This material is applied to the walls and floor of your crawl space. It restricts all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. This system creates an energy-efficient crawl space, and it also gives your crawl space a clean finish.

One morning we answered our phone and it was Tom, a homeowner in Saint Joseph, MI. He told us he was tired of his cold miserable crawlspace and the high heating costs associated with it. After probing his crawlspace needs, we installed our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system in the crawlspace. The CleanSpace encapsulation product is a 20mm thick plastic lining that entirely seals off the crawl space from the harsh elements it faces below. To finish addressing Tom’s concerns, additionally we installed spray foam insulation and SilverGlo wall paneling. SilverGlo panels are constructed very differently than other types of insulation. These panels contain tiny graphite particles that permeate its foam insulation, this is what gives the panel that silver shine. These tiny particles serve a functional purpose besides just looks, they reflect heat and lower the material's conductivity for superior R-value insulation. With this encapsulation system in place, Tom’s crawl space will now be dry usable space.

Crawlspace protection is important and often mislooked by homeowners. To fully protect your crawlspace, Ayers recommends the combination of CleanSpace and a SaniDry dehumidifier to create a healthy environment for your crawlspace. The CleanSpace vapor barrier (white) blocks moisture coming in through the foundation while the SaniDry (bottom right) takes the moisture out of the air to prevent wood rot, mold growth and musty smells.  Together, these additions create an effective environment that will save energy bills as well as keep your home and you healthy.
