A homeowner in Eagan, MN was alarmed to find water damage in her basement space. She wanted to find a solution for it sooner than later, to prevent any more problems from happening. One of her neighbors had also dealt with water-related issues and American Waterworks was the company that helped them out. She decided to contact them as well for a FREE no-obligation estimate to see what they could do for her own situation. We sent over Design Specialist Adam Voigt to inspect the area, see what the root of the water damage was, and present recommendations. Adam informed the homeowner that the main issue was the current sump pump was not able to keep up with the amount of water that was entering through the foundation and would continue if left unattended to. He suggested to her that a SuperSump Plus pump system would be able to keep up with pumping the water that was entering. Our Foreman, Chris Newton, and his crew arrived at the site to carry out the installation of the SuperSump Plus system and a discharge line to carry the water from the inside pump to outside of the home. The homeowner was relieved to have a water-free basement again and grateful for our services.

A Saint Paul, MN, homeowner got in contact when she suspected her basement of taking on water. Our Design Specialist, Ryan K, headed out to the home to see what could be done.
After Ryan finished his thorough inspection, he was ready to make his recommendations. First, Ryan wanted to use our Basement to Beautiful wall panels. These panels are the superior choice for a dry, energy-efficient basement. Designed with the unique, advanced SilverGlo™ graphite-infused foam insulation, this insulation provides 24% more energy savings than conventional foam products. At 2 ½" thick and R-13 insulation, Basement To Beautiful™ panels create a warm, protective blanket around your basement that will never rot or support mold growth. Next, Ryan recommended our WaterGuard drain. This unique french drain is installed below the slab of the floor, but atop the footing of the foundation. Using this placement helps keep this drain out of the 'mud zone' where other drains of its nature tend to clog. It works to catch water coming up through the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to the appropriate disposal site. In this case, the basement lacked a means of disposal, so Ryan recommended our TripleSafe sump pump. This pump is the most reliable in our lineup, providing three levels of protection for both your peace of mind and your basement. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® â…“ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan and scheduled the job on the spot.
On the day of the project, Jesus C, one of our Foreman, led his team through the flawless installation of 130ft of WaterGuard, 127 linear ft of Basement to Beautiful, and 2 TripleSafe sump pump. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing that her basement water troubles have been handled!
A real estate agent in White Bear Lake, MN reached out to American Waterworks after a homeowner was struggling to sell their previous home.
American Waterworks recommended installing CleanSpace, a crawl space vapor barrier, because it is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve a home. Along with the protection from mold and rot, a dry crawl space can free their home of insects and other pests that need excess moisture to survive. Mice and rats are deterred by the plastic vapor barrier, and flooding waters will be kept at bay.
Sam from Saint Paul, Mn was in hopes of renewing his basement systems to help provide his home with more security against water that could potentially harm the foundation of his home. The first step he took to protect his home was to upgrade his sump pump and insert a new drainage system. Sam immediately contacted the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks and scheduled his Free Estimate which entitled him to a full home inspection. Once scheduled, our Design Specialist then attended his home and began a thorough inspection of the property. Our Design Specialist then proposed to Sam that the best solution is to invest in our TripleSafe Sump Pump system along with our Waterguard Drainage system. Sam was comfortable with the proposal and went forward with the project by setting a date of installation.
Once the date of installation arrived, our Foreman along with his Production team attended to the property and began to jackhammer the concrete along the perimeter of the basement to insert the WaterGuard Drainage System. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage on top of the foundation footing. This type of WaterGuard is most commonly used due to the resistance against water clogs and easy access ports to properly flush out the mud from the system. Once inserted the Production team then proceeded to remove the old sump pump system and replace it with a TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe Sump Pump has three levels of protection which helps solve all three water problems. Once the job was done the team then places a fresh layer of concrete over the project to provide a finishing look and secure the system to stay in place.
Sam was satisfied with the project and had a great experience with the Production crew!
